The Hanover Book Festival

2010 Book Festival Info

AT THE LIBERTY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL GYMNASIUM
8094 LIBERTY CIRCLE, MECHANICSVILLE, VA

Attendance was down this year from previous years, but those who attended, both young and ageless, had a terrific time enjoying storytime and facepainting for the children, musical entertainment by singer/songwriter Kari Smith, winning door prizes, and meeting over 50 of Virginia's authors and viewing their latest books.

The silent auction for famous authors' books was a success with all five books being bid on and sold.

Rose Bono, this year's college scholarship winner, also attended and received her award.

Richmond International Raceway brought a pace car and set up a booth where attendees could register to win an "Ultimate Fan Access Weekend", which included:
~  Race ticket for Friday and Saturday
~  Pit pass for Friday and Saturday
~  Access to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
              Drivers' Meeting on Saturday
~  Access to the Pre-Race Ceremonies to see
              the Driver Instructions on Saturday
~  Access to Gatorade Victory Lane on
              Saturday
    ~  Commemorative Richmond International
              Raceway Gatorade Victory Lane Hat
    ~  Hotel Accommodations
    ~  $100 Visa gift card

WOW! What a great prize!

Congratulations to Wendy Aschenbach, the winner of this amazing give-away! We hope she enjoys her weekend on Saturday 10-11 as she attends the Race to the Chase 2010!

We would like to thank all of the sponsors and authors who helped make this year's festival a success.
